Types of solar energy

● The first type: solar energy systems connected to the electrical grid:

On-Grid Systems are solar energy systems that generate energy when the electricity grid is available (electrical utility meters) and reduce electrical consumption. These systems can also export excess energy produced to the electricity grid for use in the following months or sell it to power plants under long-term contracts. These systems contain solar panels, inverters, cables and protection circuit breakers.

● The second type: solar energy systems separated from the electrical grid:

Off-grid systems are solar energy systems that are completely separated from the public electricity grid. They are completely independent and self-sufficient systems that cover 100% of the energy needs throughout the day. These systems are used in areas remote from the government electricity grid and in applications that rely on diesel generators. These systems contain solar panels, inverters, batteries, cables and protection circuit breakers.

● The third type: hybrid solar energy systems:

Hybrid systems combine the advantages of grid-connected and off-grid systems as they allow you to store your solar energy in batteries for use when the public electricity grid is out. The hybrid solar system can be composed of solar stations to produce electricity during the day and at night. Generators are relied upon instead of batteries in the case of large loads. This type of hybrid station is considered an economical solution to save fuel consumption used to operate generators, and the fuel saving rate reaches 60%. In
addition to reducing dependence on the generator and thus increasing its operational life and reducing maintenance work, this type of station does not need batteries for storage due to the integration that took place between the solar systems and the generator.

● Fourth type: solar energy systems for agriculture and irrigation:

Solar energy systems for agriculture and irrigation are completely independent of the electricity company's network, as it operates all types of pumps during the day and directly, such as submersible and surface pumps. It is considered as an alternative system for traditional diesel generators to operate irrigation systems in farms.
